I still got this
A year later.

One year ago today, my 35th birthday, I made an announcement that I was both dreading and relieved to be sharing. You know… the whole Bobbi minus M*** thing. Yeah… that one. I titled that announcement: “I got this.” With it came a new business name, brand and website.

First of all let me say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Your support, love and care over the past year has been nothing short of incredible. When you’re a wedding photographer telling the world that your very public marriage has come to an end, you really have no idea what to expect. To be frank, I was scared sh*tless.  I soon found out that I was far from alone in this.

Phew that blog post seems so long ago doesn’t it?

Maybe it doesn’t seem that long ago to you but it most certainly does to me. After all, I’ve done a whole lotta living in these last twelve months!

Since then Megan and I have shot weddings and sessions in Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, California, Kentucky, Ohio, Louisiana, Florida, New York, Washington D.C. and of course; all over Indiana.

I cut all of my hair off. And regretted it immediately. Womp.

My dad and I drove across half the country in treacherous conditions so he could live his last few months with me. You’ve read about much of that already.

I spoke at The Reset Conference.

I taught three sold out Bobbi Photo workshops.

I flew out to Denver to visit my Uncle Pat who’s battling the same evil Pancreatic Cancer my dad had. He’s doing unbelievably well. I can’t wait to go back.

I visited NYC with my boyfriend Stephen.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I have a boyfriend? Yeah. I do. He’s great. You’ll love him.

Bonus: he has three beautiful kids. You’ll love them, too. 🙂

All of that to tell you: today is my 36th birthday. And for some reason typing that made my cry big tears. I’m not quite sure why I’m crying. Man oh man life is weird.

Anyway… back to it…

I want you all to know that I’m happy, hopeful and excited about the future. My business is doing well, my friendships are stronger than ever, and I’m in love with the same person I was once in love with when I was 19 years old. True story. 🙂

Thanks again for being you.

High fives friends!

Bobbi
