I’ve been so excited to share my first ever Wisconsin wedding with you all!

Megan nailed those groom “getting ready” images. Since dropping the Mike, I’ve noticed that not as many guys are comfortable with a girl photographing them getting ready. Well… to that I say “get over it!” because Megan has those skilllls that pay those billllls!

I LOOOOVE me a man in a suit!

Her hair piece… perfection! I wish that all brides would wear real flowers in their hair! Pro tip: if you do wear a flower in your hair, ask the florist if they will bring an extra just in case it gets messed up throughout the day. Same with the groom’s boutonniere. Those get smashed after every ceremony because of all of the hugs. 🙂

Ohhhh that Wacky Bobbi strikes again!

I always stay back with the bride while Megan captures the walk down the aisle. In the 350+ weddings I’ve photo’d over the years, I’ve never once missed this moment… and I’ve gotta tell ya, it’s one of my favorite moments of the day. THIS is one of the many reasons why you should hire two photographers! Strike that… THIS is one of the many reasons you should just go ahead and hire us! 😉

One of the few advantages to being short… I can stand in spots that most shouldn’t because they’d be a distraction. I, however, am much less noticeable because almost everyone I’m standing behind is taller than me. 😀 YAY FOR BEING SHORRRRT!

Sara & Mike

AHHHH!!!!! FAAAAAVORITE!!! I took a risk and instead of shooting this from the front like I always do, I shot it from the back… and, for the record, I DO NOT REGRET MY DECISION! Sara’s Dad’s expression is winning at life!

I had finished up the portraits when Sara said, “can we do a laying down photo?” AHHHH!!! OF COURRRRSE YOU CANNNNN!! It’s an old signature of mine to photograph couples laying down and snuggling on their wedding day.  Other photographers ask me all of the time, “how do you get brides to lay down?” My answer: if I don’t ask them first, they usually ask me!* 😉 I’ve never had a bride say no. That said, I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think it was 100% safe and that the dress FOR SURE wouldn’t get dirty… and furthermore… my brides trust me!

Last song. Notice that many of the men’s pants are around their ankles? It’s a tradition!
