I first met my beloved friend Bora in November, 2014 at one of my photography workshops.  She told me back then that when she got married, I would most definitely be her wedding photographer someday!

When I saw her again in May of 2016 at my alumni workshop she said it again. Though by then she was feeling quite discouraged about her future love prospects. At that time, Tommy was a distant high school memory.

Side note: when we turned the corner to this wall blue-gray wall I couldn’t quit laughing about how much his shirt matched the wall. I immediately thought of a goofy subreddit I follow: r/accidentalcamouflage. I asked Tommy to stand in front of it and this is what he did instead!

You see, Bora and Tommy knew each other in high school but weren’t necessarily friends back then. Fast forward to 2018 where they were re-introduced. Tommy tells me that when they first went out just as friends soon after he had a strange sensation that he can’t explain but by date number three he was ready to marry her!

Bora was admittedly a bit apprehensive to such strong feelings so quickly. On their first date they watched Mission: Impossible III and according to Bora, “Tommy likes to joke and say that getting me was mission impossible that he made possible.”

I had read their love story on Facebook, which seemed like a whirlwind and almost too good to be true! That was until I met him. I’ll tell you, Tommy is one of the most kind, genuine, honest, and heartfelt men I had ever met. He adooooores Bora!

….and she adores him just as much in return! While the feelings may have come at different times, they’re 100% aligned now. I love to watch her blush while he fills up her love tank!

I mean… just look at her sparkle!

Bora and Tommy, I cannot WAIT to photograph your December wedding and feel insanely lucky to be a part of your lives.
